I am in bloody agony. I have no idea what the cause is, although it could well have been having to lift the big, heavy, dead monitor the other day. Whatever, I feel as though I have been kicked in the ribs. Breathing is painful, sitting is painful, lying down is painful, and standing up ain’t too hot either.

On the upside, I am enjoying the Boston Legal box set I got for my birthday from

rhionnach. Although it would be better if my ribs didn’t hurt when I laughed. Shatner’s performance is superb, great comedic timing, and never brings up echoes of Kirk, not even when he shoots the bad guy. :o)

James Doohan, famous for playing Scotty in Star Trek, has died. I can’t remember if he is one of those

rhionnach has met. Of all the characters in Trek, I think it was Scotty who made it for me. Despite the dodgy accent and occasional slips into shortbread-tin “Scottishness”, Doohan really did portray a believable engineering type, and I have heard he was a very nice guy (except, perhaps, with regard to Shatner).
