Those of a pagan inclination may be aware of DruidCon, the annual Druid conference in Glasgow (running since 2003). I have been informed by the organisers that owing to problems with the original venue (i.e. the numpties double-booked the place) this year’s DruidCon will take place in Strathclyde University Union in John Street. This is probably a better venue, with better lifts, more central and more convenient for bus, train and subway. DruidCon 2007 takes place on Saturday, September 8th. More info here.

This month we have moved Yggdrasil (the local Heathen group) to tonight so that two of the speakers coming up for Druidcon at the weekend can join us. Robin Herne is a Celtic recon. and Jenny Blain is a prominent Heathen and anthropologist. Both are founder members of the APT. The plan is for the evening mainly to be one of relaxed, social interaction. Any local pagans who wish to join us are welcome.

Regarding Druidcon, it seems that, unfortunately, one of the speakers, Kris Hughes, has had to cancel.
