Transport for Bifest

In case anyone going to BiFest at the weekend doesn't know, there's extensive work on the Tube this weekend. Among other closures, the Circle Line is closed all weekend, the Jubilee Line is closed on Saturday (so Southwark station is no use for getting to the event), and the stretch of the District Line between Earl's Court and Whitechapel is closed all weekend. Blackfriars station is closed anyway until some time in 2011.

It seems to me the best option for a lot of us will be getting to Waterloo and walking along the South Bank.

Additionally - from 1200 to 1600 on Saturday 16 May all routes in central London will have severe delays, diversions and curtailments while a Palestian Solidarity Campaign march and rally takes place.

I'm relatively fortunate, I think - I'm coming up from SE4 and just have to get two buses, as long as I can work out where to get off them :-)

Well, duh :-) I'm thinking more in the lines of the first bus I have to get off. Blackfriar's Bridge and Doggetts are kinda obvious and if I miss those, I'd be worried ;-)
