I was going to post something about Eastercon, which was excellent, great to see old friends and make new ones, work with excellent people on Ops (that really did have to be said, what a great bunch), savour the con food (well, eat it, anyway), exchange groats for good ale, prowl the dealers’ room, go to the Scandinavian room party, go to the USSG room party, and end up playing Mornington Crescent at four in the morning. It was not even spoiled by finding out that Sparks has something of the Blind Pugh when I looked down and saw the Black Spot in my hand.

I even made programme items! More than at Worldcon! I still have an unbroken run of not seeing any of the video programme at an Eastercon, though, and this one looked very interesting, too. (This does not count the watching of Doctor Who live on Saturday, which was great fun.)

I am too tired, though, to do that justice now. I have just had lunch, and I have discovered (because I am too tired to cook anything complicated and the fact that we were at Concussion all weekend means we didn’t do our weekly shop so our selection in the pantry is a little eccentric) that a gorgonzola and hot pepper sauce omelette is really quite delicious. So now, having soaked my aching muscles in a hot bath, I am going back to bed to continue catching up with my sleep.

I have to, after all, get my energy up for the [livejournal.com profile] glasgow_fen trouting to the Paisley Beer Festival on Thursday.

Gorgonzola and hot pepper sauce omelette? Perhaps we should give the recipe for that to the con hotel. At least it's different from the suspiciously repetitive selection of vegetables to be found in the veggie options at the weekend.

As for sleeping in the afternoon - luxury! Some of us are back at work today. I really ought to have taken today off.

Paisley Beer Festival - bother! I've got Beltaney Stuff every evening and both weekend afternoons to Sunday.

Have a crackin' time at it!

We shall do. Sorry you can't make it; good to see you at the con.

[livejournal.com profile] major_clanger and I have been spending an evening like "normal" people do, watching The West Wing on DVD. After 40 minutes of crisis in the Middle East while Congress tries to usurp you, conrunning doesn't look quite so hard anymore...

Spending an evening like "normal" people. Sounds good. We were at the Beer Festival last night. Very good, especially this continental honey porter (which the guys on the bar seemed to have a lot of difficulty finding). Funnily enough, on Tuesday when I had lunch, I was watching The West Wing (Friday's episode, the timer actually worked.)
