BBC News 24 is reporting that the tube system is being put on Code Amber, which means it will be shut down. The whole of the Northern Line, the Victoria Line and the Hammersmith and City Line have already been suspended. [UPDATE: it now seems the “Code Amber” is limited to those lines.]
“Code Amber” is the highest alert level, and means that an attack has taken place.
