Things they wish they hadn’t said

I haven’t had a lot of time recently, what with trying to shake off this sinusitis and my mother being more than a little unwell, but last week I picked up Private Eye to read while heading out to my parents’. It made absolutely no impression on me then, but was only when rhionnach read it yesterday and started chortling I re-read this unfortunate little comment:

There are no drinking and shagging stories about Mark Oaten, MP for Winchester and one of the serious candidates for the leadership of the Lib-Dems...
