A fond farewell
Nov. 20th, 2005 12:25 pmLast night we joined
l_zinkiewicz in the Bon Accord for part of the Glasgow leg of her farewell tour. There were seven of us in all, we had a very enjoyable evening talking about many things (including buses, for some reason) and sampling various ales and whiskies. The over-amplified band did its best to drown us out, but didn’t quite succeed. We got home about 01:00, having had to make for Renfield St. to get the 66 since the much-advertised new “through-the-night” provision on the 44 route amounts to one bus at 00:07 and another at 03:07, which isn’t particularly useful.
I’d hoped we could join
l_zinkiewicz and others in the Willow Tearoom this morning before heading to Caer Clud (which we kind of have to attend today), but the troublesome joint in my foot was too painful to consider walking on it. It’s easing off now, so I shouldn’t even be hobbling by the time we need to make our way to Caer Clud.
Anyway,
l_zinkiewicz, hope you have a safe journey home when you have to leave the country. We’ll miss you.
I’d hoped we could join
Anyway,
