Yes, it is just gratuitously offensive, these cartoonists need to be stopped, we should storm the British embassies, boycott British goods, burn the Union Jack, seek out and decapitate Kes...

Or maybe just not. If Thor doesn’t like it and actually cares about it, he’s more than capable of doing something about it. :o)

Well, York Minster took a while to repair...

Do you have some direct information on this we don’t? I assumed that was:

  • Some other god who does thunder & lightning getting in some target practice; or
  • Yahweh, followed soon after by something along the lines of, “Bugger! Missed! I was aiming for Durham...”; or
  • simply the result of the normal discharge of electricity from clouds.

Or have the people of Jorvik as was done something to piss off the Big Guy? Interested parties want to know.

Not the people of York, just the Minster :)

I think He just wanted to see 'em run...

Let's face it, there's this jumped-up desert wight, delusions of grandeur, followers who tell him he's omnipotent etc, and it must be nice to watch 'em all trying to work out how come the only thing destroyed in a perfectly ordinary storm was the greatest piece of work his followers have ever made for him in the area...

Hmm, yes, I can see him laughing at that. :o)
