Right now...

...as seen from an area of high light pollution, the Moon looks like a glowing ember on a dark surface, dark reddish grey with apparently little flecks of brighter red flickering across the surface. It is quite a sight... A pity we are not in the country, to see it more clearly.

I wish I could find my shots of the last lunar eclipse we saw in Fredericton. It was gorgeous... and freezing cold too. We were storming like no tomorrow here, so we didn't get to see it at all. Damned cloud cover.

We had rain most of yesterday evening, so I was surprised when it cleared to give us a pretty good view, new street lights notwithstanding.

It really was beautiful, wasn't it? Poor Brucie was stuck home where it was clouded over and and they couldn't see a thing!

That is bloody unlucky; one of the members of Yggdrasil who lives in Ardrossan said Thor shifted the clouds just in time. ;o)
